Thank you for visiting our site! We are back in business after an incredible journey that our drummer has gone through (see story and photos below). We have a show on Saturday June 28th in Red Bank, NJ. Red Bank is a sweet place to hang out; it’s a very youthful town with lots of stuff to do within walking distance. Come and spend the day down there with us! Our drummer Tony was driving a lighting truck down to Atlantic City, NJ for work and fell asleep. His truck veered off the highway (at 70mph). The truck (filled with lighting scaffolding and equipment) hit a tree and he was thrown from the cockpit. The truck looked like an accordion afterwards. Had he been wearing his seatbelt he actually would not have made it. God works in mysterious ways. The Atlantic City Hospital has the #1 Trauma center in the state of NJ. That morning, an ER nurse of many years was fumbling to fix her glasses, and wound up leaving late, her first time ever in her nursing career. She was driving behind Tony's truck when he went off the road. She circled the vehicle looking for him, and finally found him 75 feet away from the truck. She did her thing and essentially kept him alive until the ambulance got there, breathing for him and making sure he didn't move and injure himself more. Tony's playing his first show back with us this Saturday. In the end, he broke 3 vertebra, 2 bones in his neck, shattered his femur, broke fingers, his arm, multiple ribs, collapsed both lungs, and had a large head wound. He has healed incredibly well and would never have made it if it were not for that nurse (an angel in disguise, I'm convinced). Check out photos at: photos September 2007: We had a great summer. We started recording our new demo and are working on some new songs as well. The demo will be rolled into a new album that will hopefully be finished by March. We have a show coming up October 20, be sure to check it out. God Bless. ~ Higher Authority ~ January 2007: Just rocked the LCMS Winter Youth Gathering. Thanks to all who attended. This is a ministry opportunity that we really enjoy. This years event was quite different, as we had our new drummer, Tony, playing with us for the first time. We also had some special guest appearences for Skarrd, with Linzy (Dan's fiance) on bg vocal & keys and Rick (our manager) on guitar. Working on lots of new music and shows for the new year. God Bless. ~ Higher Authority ~ December 2006: Our boy Dan went and got himself engaged to his lovely girlfriend of 2 years Linzy. Congrats to them. Be on the look out for new HA shows coming up next year. God Bless. ~ Higher Authority ~ February 2006: Just wanna give a shout out to all the youth that we shared the weekend with at the LCMS NJ District Winter Youth Gathering. We had a great time sharing our music and God's word. Things are moving along and we are looking forward to some great opportunities. Jamie is spending the next few months in Australia for a semester abroad and Dan will be spending the summer in Europe for a semester abroad. Please keep the guys in your prayers. We are gearing up for a mass promotion coming in the fall and looking for venues and opportunities. Spread the word. We are continuing to grow our ministry on MySpace as well as a new site All New Tunes. Check it out. God Bless. ~ Higher Authority ~ October 2005: Well Brad has decided to persue other things, but that doesn't mean the end of Higher Authority. We have found a new drummer and are working to get him up to speed on all our music. His name is Chip and we are hoping for a great year of shows with him. Lots of changes coming up, to the site and more. God Bless. ~ Higher Authority ~ March 2005: Hey guys. I can't believe its March already. Time is just flying by. We are doing some work on the site over the next few weeks, so if you come and see things are not here anymore or moved - don't be alarmed. We are adding a street team, online ordering via paypal, and moving the photos, downloads, and devo to a link called media. We are working on some new wallpaper and a few other surprises. Well we made our trek back to college this weekend and are looking forward to writing new music and getting ready to hopefully get back into the studio. We had a great time at the Extreme Life Youth Blast this past weekend in Cortland, NY. We want to thank all of you that came out and supported us. We are playing in Pompton Plains, July 10 at the Revival Festival($12) and in Ocean Grove, July 23 at the OG Underground($2). Check the gigs page for more info. We are doing a lot of heart work this summer, along with working on some great new music for the fall. We hope that you can come out and support us at our shows and check out the new merch. We’re beginning to hear back from the venues, and we need you to support us this summer! Get ready for the May 14th show, especially! Plus, we’ll be releasing some awesome new merchandise, including embroidered hoodies, 8x10's, interactive demos, and more! And to all of God’s soldiers: keep on fighting. God Bless, ~ Higher Authority ~ March 2004: We’re beginning to send out the press packets to venues now for our summer tour. We are all looking forward to a productive spring break. We’ll be practicing a lot and learning the new songs Dan’s been writing, plus we’ll be taking some more band pictures. Keep your eyes open for more coming soon! God Bless ~ Higher Authority February 2004: We’ve been busy working behind the scenes to prepare our press kits this month. After these are sent out in early March, our summer tour will start to come more clearly into focus. We’re also getting merchandise lined up and writing some awesome new music. God Bless ~ Higher Authority January 2004: Things are already on the move for us this year. The Endurance music video is posted and we are starting to book concerts. We are working on an interactive demo cd, that will include the music video and other Higher Authority information. As always spread the word. ~Higher Authority December 2003: Merry Christmas! Well with the new year upon us we are looking forward to a small summer tour and some great new music. Dan has been busy writiing new songs and we are hoping to get into the studio to lay down a few new tracks. As always have a safe and blessed holiday season. ~Higher Authority November 2003: Welcome to the new look of HigherAuthorityOnline.com! While we are working on new songs and getting ready to head back into the studio, we decided to give our site a little lift and make it more user friendly. We also wanted to provide you all with more information to keep up with the band and some opportunities to help develop the site. If you've been to our concerts and have some really cool photos or drawings that you would like to share with other Higher Authority fans you can send them to us. Check out the contact page for the address and email info. October 2003: Hey, we'd just like to thank everyone that supported us at Witstock 2003. We had a great time and really want to thank everyone that made the event possible. We hope to have other opportunities to share our music with you all really soon. August 2003: Hey everybody! Ya I know we're finally on the web. I guess it took us long enough. While Dan and I are off at college Higher Authority is still going strong and there's no reason God willing why our ministry shouldn't be growing. We're going to be in our dorm rooms making more songs and by early next summer we'll head back into the studio to do another recording. Hopefully this demo will give us our big break in the music industry. However there are a million things that need to be done before next summer and we're on number eight. We'll make sure that we schedule gigs on our vacations so that we won't seem totally gone. Check out our Bio and the Devotional (Devos) pages these pages are definitely up and running. Every month I'll put something in the devotional section that I found to be amazing. If not already the store and media pages should be running soon. You'll be able to buy CD's and shirts from our site as well as checking out pics from different shows.
